Violence Against Women program helps women who have been experiencing abuse.
Although it is difficult to understand, the people we love sometimes choose to hurt us. You may currently be with a partner who calls you names, puts you down in front of others, physically or sexually hurts you or even threatens your life. You may be thinking about leaving the relationship. Or you may have already left.
Whatever the case, you may be feeling very unsure about what to do next, as you come to terms with feelings such as fear, confusion, shame and anxiety about your future. We can help you through this transition and assist you in implementing a plan for your safety.
Our services are available in several languages (English, Hindi, Tamil, Somali, Farsi, Punjabi, Urdu) to everyone living or working in the Greater Toronto area. Download VAW brochures translated in Farsi and Somali.
If you are in an abusive same-sex relationship, please visit our David Kelley Services page.
