Services Available at Options

  • Community Resource Facilitation and Service Coordination
Options facilitates community participation, family dynamics, advocacy, housing, access to funding, circles of support, as well as many other supports.  Our approach is to break down barriers and to find ways to facilitate interconnected lives within communities and family groups.
  • Community Network Facilitation and Community Mapping
FST’s Community Network Facilitators work with individuals, families, small groups and community organizations to explore and build connections to community places and people.  Our work supports individuals in exploring their interests and enhancing their community involvement through an individualized and flexible process.

We facilitate the Self-Advocacy group, publish the Community Times newsletter and provide workshops for individuals, families, support workers and community groups connected to Options. Community Networking is a process that challenges and invites ordinary places to be more inclusive.
  • Person-Directed Planning
Family Service Toronto’s Community Resource Facilitators and Person Directed Planning Facilitators work with individuals and their families to create, implement, and sustain meaningful and dynamic plans for the future, life transitions, independence and daily living.  Our planning process is person-directed which means that individuals working with us have the opportunity to direct their own plans and supports are tailored and relevant to the individual's choices.
